On Vohra’s directions, Wakf board cancels allotment of land to Mehbooba’s relative | KNO

Srinagar, July 6 (KNO) : On the directions of Governor N N Vohra, the Wakf board today tolled back the order of allotment of land to close relative of former chief minister Mehbooba Mufti in southern Anantnag district.

According to an order issued by the Wakf Board dated July 6, number 17 of 2018, signed by Revenue officer Muslim Wakf Board, the order favouring allotment of land to mis Syed Sharqiya Andrabi, the daughter of Syed Farooq Ahmed Andrabi, the uncle of Mehbooba Mufti, stands cancelled and withdrawn.

The reports of allotment to land to Sharqiya had triggered a row on social media with netizens urging Governor to roll back the order.
